Love for Children Organization
Love for Children Organization (LCO) is an indigenous, humanitarian, non-governmental organization established in the year 1999 to advocate the rights and address the needs of disadvantaged children.
The organization is governed by the General Assembly and Executive Committee. Along with other staff members and community representatives, the Executive Director, Lemlem Tekuye is responsible for managing the programs of the organization and running its day-to-day activities.

To see Ethiopia being a place where children can grow up in conducive environment and with promising opportunities to become self-reliant and productive members of the society.
Mission
Love for Children Organization fights for children's rights and is working to bring about lasting improvements upon their lives.
Main Objectives
To ensure the well being and promote understanding and acceptance of children's rights by building and strengthening institutions to support them.
Specific Objectives
To enable economically disadvantaged families provide their children with opportunities of self-development.
To create better life and future for disadvantaged children, especially orphans and street children.
To create access to information and raise community awareness about HIV/AIDS.
To contribute in improving existing health facilities in the target area
To create employment opportunities for youth.
To create educational & recreational opportunities for disadvantaged children.
To overcome the deep-rooted traditional mal practices imposed on women and girls as well as protecting their rights.
So far, Love for Children has been implementing various projects such as HIV/AIDS prevention project for street children and street mothers, skill training project for the unemployed youth, an income generation project for economically disadvantaged mothers, a project on women empowerment, Child right Promotion and Action through Child Friendly Center, Community based Care and Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), Protection and Prevention of Street Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation and Community based HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care & Support project.
LCO is making relentless effort in running a comprehensive and multi purpose child and youth center which is aimed at addressing the social, recreational and health needs of children in its target community. The center comprises of services such as reading rooms, indoor and out door games, counseling, Voluntary Counseling & Testing (VCT) and Child watch unit. In aggregate the center is accommodating 300 children at a time
The iWill Project has previously donated funds and equipment to the center which has been put to good use.
